He goes back to Frodo, trying desperately to touch the ring. Sam crawls over and grabs Gollum’s leg, dragging him off Frodo. Gollum seeing the Ring that has come out of Frodo’s shirt jumps on Frodo. (Frodo and Sam grab hold of Gollum, he pushes them away from him, causing them to fall down. Curse them, we hates them! It’s ours it is, and we wants it. Where is it? Where is it? They stole it from us. They’re thieves, they’re filthy little thieves. (Frodo and Sam are asleep Gollum is climbing down a cliff above them.) Can you smell it?įrodo: Yes, I can smell it. What is that horrid stink? I wonder if there’s a nasty bog nearby. (Climbing over the rocky terrain, they continue to travel)įrodo: That’s because we’ve been here before. Sam: I don’t usually hold with foreign food, but this Elvish stuff-it’s not bad.įrodo: (chuckles) Nothing ever dampens your spirits, does it, Sam? (Sam rips off a piece for Frodo and throws it to him and then a piece for himself, they eat.) (Clutches the ring to his chest, and then takes a drink of water, Sam sits down as well and starts digging in his bag.) (Frodo stares at Mordor and suddenly is zoomed into the Eye, he shudders and sits down.) I don’t think Gandalf meant for us to come this way.įrodo: He didn’t mean for a lot of things to happen, Sam. The one place in Middle-Earth we don’t want to see any closer is the one place we’re trying to get to, and just where we can’t get.

(The next day, as they’re wandering through the Emyn Muil, they look toward Mordor.) Balrog and Gandalf fall into the water below Moria.) He stabs the Balrog again in the back of the head. He grabs the horns of the Balrog and flips onto the back of the Balrog’s head. As they fall, the Balrog turns, causing Gandalf to fall off. (Gandalf falls, intercepts Glamdring, and attacks the Balrog as they’re falling. Gandalf clings to the ledge by his fingertips. (The Balrog falls, as he falls the whip reaches up and grabs Gandalf by his ankle. (Zooms into Khazad-dum, Gandalf battles the Balrog) Dark fire will not avail you, flame of Udun!
